New York Deli Reuben

Total Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • Two Slices Rye Bread
  • 1 T. Butter, Softened
  • 2 T. Thousand Island Dressing
  • 2 Slices Swiss Cheese
  • 4 Slices Corned Beef
  • 1 Small Handful Sour Kraut, Squeezed Completely Dry

Process:

  1. Preheat air fryer.
  2. Make a foil sling for easy lifting of sandwich.
  3. Butter one side of one piece of bread and place buttered side down on sling.
  4. Spread one tablespoon of dressing on bread.
  5. Layer cheese, then beef, then kraut onto bread.
  6. Spread one tablespoon of dressing on remaining slice of bread and place dressing side down on top of sandwich.
  7. Butter top of sandwich.
  8. Using sling, lift sandwich into air fryer basket.
  9. Place basket into air fryer and press the “toast” button.
  10. After about five minutes, lift sling out and use a spatula to flip sandwich. Replace basket and press start to continue.
  11. Remove sandwich from basket, slice in half and serve with kettle chips and spicy Kosher spear
